International Forum Industry-Responsive Higher Education in Central Asia
Developing Knowledge and Skills for Sustainable Economic Growth
On 25–26 September 2026, an international forum will take place at the Samarkand Agroinnovations and Research University in Uzbekistan.
The Forum is organised within the project “Open Food Innovation University” and will bring together higher education institutions from Central Asia and Europe, as well as industry representatives, policymakers, students, and other stakeholders.
The event will highlight innovative Open University learning models and serve as a platform for sharing experiences, discussing challenges, and identifying future directions for strengthening university–industry cooperation and skills development in the region. Universities and food production and processing enterprises from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will present their experiences, lessons learned, and the tangible benefits of collaboration.
